Content design
Seventeen source topics with explicit reuse, adaptation, or deferral decisions.
Source-to-NexWell matrix
Every discovered topic has a disposition.
General writing mechanics are reusable after accessibility review. Voice and tone are NexWell-authored adaptations. Map guidance remains deferred until a product context exists.
Overview
Write for the user’s task, front-load the outcome, and make the next action explicit.
Abbreviations
Spell out unfamiliar terms on first use; avoid abbreviations in critical instructions.
Capitalization
Use sentence case for headings, controls, and messages; preserve proper nouns.
Content heuristics
Be necessary, concise, specific, actionable, and consistent with the interface state.
Contractions
Use familiar contractions conversationally; avoid ambiguity in safety or consent language.
Dates
Format with the active locale and include the year when context could be ambiguous.
Emojis
Do not use emoji as the sole status or instruction; avoid them in clinical and error content.
Global writing
Prefer plain, literal language without idioms, cultural shorthand, or embedded wordplay.
Map annotations
No approved NexWell map context exists; preserve source evidence without publishing rules.
Messages
State what happened, why when known, and what the user can do next.
Money
Use locale-aware currency formatting and show the currency code when symbols are ambiguous.
Numbers
Use locale-aware numerals and separators; do not encode meaning through precision alone.
Product tone
Adjust intensity to context while remaining calm, direct, respectful, and transparent.
Product voice
NexWell is clear, caring, and credible; Uber-specific wording and personality are rejected.
Punctuation
Use normal sentence punctuation; avoid repeated exclamation marks and decorative punctuation.
Time
Use locale-aware time, state the time zone when relevant, and avoid ambiguous relative time.
Writing for users
Name actions with verbs, explain consequences before commitment, and keep recovery paths clear.
